Food and Agriculture

We help you stop hunger and malnutrition that claims lives and cripples communities around the globe.

When you partner with Unto®

  • You make it possible to deliver meals or garden supplies to people living in areas experiencing food shortage.
  • You help our in-country partners meet needs specific to the people we serve.
  • You help ensure people have the opportunity to hear about the eternal hope of Jesus.

You can Meet Needs Around the World

Around the globe, hunger and malnutrition claim lives and cripple communities. Unto works with local partners to deliver meals and supplies to communities that need food most.

As the humanitarian ministry of Cru®, Unto has leveraged strategic global partnerships to relieve suffering through our Food and Agriculture Program:

  • For nearly 30 years
  • In more than 75 countries
  • With access to Cru’s 190-country network

Partnerships with people like you make it possible for Unto to provide humanitarian assistance and coaching to our Cru national partners, giving them access to people who might otherwise be unreachable.

In many cases humanitarian aid is the main reason authorities allow ministry to continue in some of the toughest places on earth.

Meals and Seeds

Where food shortages persist, Unto helps stop hunger by giving families lifesaving meals. For a sustainable food and income source, we provide vegetable seeds that can be harvested for subsequent crops.

Agriculture Technology

We work with communities to develop gardens and train people to use bucket drip-irrigation kits for a more conducive environment to producing long-term food solutions.

Lives are Changed

A teacher in Zimbabwe witnessed children fainting daily from malnutrition. Watch how she cared for children in her school by providing meals.
Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker,
but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.
Proverbs 14:31

Food and Agriculture Stories

Food brings us together. At birthdays. At weddings. And around the weekday dinner table. In one Tanzanian village, our local Unto partner is using food to bring people together — and introduce them to hope.
We face an unprecedented global food crisis. Unto® President and CEO, Al Goff, answers questions about the current crisis and how every person can do something to help.
As the global food crisis intensifies, more and more families are going without meals. They are having to send their children to school hungry or put them to bed at night without a meal. They cannot access or afford the food their families need to survive.
Children, women, and all people living in poverty are especially vulnerable to malnutrition. The effects of hunger and malnutrition can last a lifetime. But the negative effects can be reversed.

Your gift provides lifesaving food and seeds as a sustainable source of nutrition.
