How Kindness Changes Everything for Those in Need
By Amanda DeWitt
Kindness seems so small — so simple. But every one of us knows its power.
It can change a moment. A day. A lifetime.
For people in the toughest places, an act of kindness can change everything. It can remind them they are not forgotten. It can give them their first glimpse of God’s love.
Read the difference kindness makes from their perspective. It is their notes — from many nations — for you.
“When we receive help from God, there is a joy in our hearts because it comes precisely when there is need … I see a change in my home now; my children are very grateful and want to commit themselves to God. Thank you, God, and thank you to all the people who made this blessing possible for my family.” — Cintia, Peru
“After I decided to follow Jesus, my life changed. I do not smoke or drink or do bad things anymore. I am going to church and learning more about following Jesus. I have not yet been to see my family to tell them about Jesus, but I want to do that. Then they will see that I am not a bad person because of Jesus.” — Simon, Sierra Leon
“Love is true among Christians; we can see it even in their works, for example, this water tower, which is free for all to use.” — Hassan*, West Africa
“For many of the recipients, these glasses were not just a medical aid, but a miracle. Some had been struggling for years to read the Bible, work properly, or see their loved ones clearly. Through this simple yet powerful act of giving, they received not only physical vision but also renewed hope.” — Partner, South Asia
“The center was about to close due to a shortage of medical supplies and the necessary equipment needed to operate the center, leaving us unable to care for everyone. Today, we are overjoyed to receive a hospital bed, linens, and some medical supplies, which will greatly contribute to resuming the center’s work and providing the patients with the necessary health services.” — Healthcare Worker, Middle East Warzone

Kindness can take a variety of forms. It is meals that fill a hungry belly. Clean water that hydrates. It is a pair of eyeglasses that restores clear sight. Medical supplies that bring healing.
It is — most of all — a tangible expression of God’s love. A message of hope shared for the first time. Thank you for expressing the kindness of Jesus to those in need.
Express Kindness Among the Unreached
Today, there are so many people who are suffering. Many of these have never heard about Jesus. Your generosity helps meet their immediate physical needs, while also giving them the opportunity to hear the message of eternal hope.
