For the price of a meal, you can turn hunger into hope
Around the world 733 million people face hunger each day. Because of wars, disasters, economic shocks, and other crises, they cannot afford or access the nutrition they need to survive and thrive.
On World Food Day, you can make a difference by joining Unto® for the Pass2Provide challenge. Here is how it works:
- Participate in the Pass2Provide challenge by passing up one meal on World Food Day, October 16. Since most suffering people around the world only eat one to two meals a day, you will be experiencing what they do every day.
- Turn the price of your meal into hope for the hungry. It costs just 30 cents to provide a meal for someone in the toughest places. Your $15 gift (the average cost of a restaurant meal) will provide 50 meals for people struggling to survive.
Share your experience with others. Fast together as a family. Post about your Pass2Provide challenge on social media. Get your small group involved. You will help even more people facing hunger — and give them the opportunity to hear about Jesus.
In the coming months, Unto plans to send more than 2.3 million meals to suffering people in Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Latin America. In order to ensure that these meals make it into the hands of refugees, children, and families facing famine, funding is needed.
Our local staff teams and partners personally distribute the meals to those who are suffering. They also build relationships and share the message of hope with those who have never heard about Jesus.
Together we can turn hunger into hope for people in the toughest places. We can tangibly meet their needs for nutritious meals. And we can tell them about the hope Jesus gives now and for all eternity.
Would you take the Pass2Provide challenge and provide meals for those facing food insecurity and famine today?
