Cross Road Water Walk

Let’s walk for clean water in The Gambia

As part of the Cross Road Baptist Water Walk, we’re bringing awareness to the lack of clean water experienced by many in some of the toughest places on earth — places like The Gambia.

Suffering communities in The Gambia are facing a water crisis. While much of the country has access to clean water, families on the margins still suffer without safe water or reliable transportation to access clean water. And most importantly, many have never heard the gospel.

Cross Road Baptist is partnering with Unto® and local missionaries to bring a clean water project to the village of Memeh, showing residents they are not forgotten. Clean water meets urgent physical needs while opening doors for gospel ministry, helping local teams build trust and reach unreached people. The local team will work with Cru®’s Global Church Movement and the Jesus Film Project to share the “JESUS” film, build relationships and support evangelism and church planting — meeting both physical and spiritual needs.

Every gift you give will soon help drill or repair a new clean water well for the Memeh community. At the well-opening ceremony, the gospel will be shared by the local Cru staff team and their partners. Many times, they’re also able to plant a church nearby. Thank you for supporting the walk and bringing clean water and the hope of Jesus to people in the toughest places.
