DISASTER RELIEF
Humanitarian aid at lifesaving speed
In the wake of a disaster, people need immediate help to access life’s most essential items. They also need hope now and for eternity.
OUR APPROACH
Together we can provide lifesaving humanitarian aid to disaster victims and share the message of hope.
Immediate Relief
In the wake of a disaster, people need meals, water filters, tarps for shelter and other essential supplies. Local staff mobilize quickly to distribute aid at lifesaving speed. When the time is right, they also share about hope.
Long-Term Support
People not only need immediate relief, they also need help rebuilding their lives. Local staff teams, serving in areas affected by disaster, support long-term recovery efforts, provide trauma care and help introduce hurting people to Jesus.

“Unto builds trust and relationships in the communities we serve by distributing much-needed humanitarian aid. This opens the door for deeper spiritual conversations and effective ministry.”
EDMOND
CRU LEADER IN THE MIDDLE EAST
“I found myself overwhelmed with the devastating fires of the Palisades. God answered our prayer through a conversation with Unto. Their team walked the streets, prayed with us and cried with those who were crying.”
Jeft
Director of Cru Inner City LA
“It was a full day of water filter and food distribution in the field. We were at an elementary school which is now the local hospital. People were pretty desperat and Unto stepped in to help. We are grateful for them.”

“Jennings, Florida, was ravaged by Hurricane Helene. It was also devastated by Hurricane Idalia. The county is one of the poorest in the state. We’ve been blessed to send our disaster response team here to share the love of Christ and encourage them.”
Field Strategist

“This is harvest time. People are normally suspicious of Christians, thinking we are spies, but now they see that we are the only ones helping them. There is more spiritual openness even since the earthquake.”
Pastor

“Thank you for giving to war affected people. They are not just receiving physical food and shelter, but they also received the message of Jesus for their very spiritual need. May God bless your hands and hearts abundantly!”

FAQs
Unfortunately, Unto cannot respond to every disaster. Determinations are made based on the size and scope of the disaster as well as the ability of local Cru teams to serve and follow up.
Our goal is to help local staff teams, in the United States and around the world, serve their own people and communities during times of disaster. We focus on areas where local staff are mobilized, ready and able to respond effectively.
First, you can pray for those affected by disaster. Even after disaster relief teams leave, people must heal from the trauma of suddenly losing loved ones or even losing everything they owned.
Second, you can give. Our disaster relief efforts focus on providing an immediate response through things like food, shelter and safe drinking water. We also assist local staff teams with trauma care and community rebuilding efforts so that people have the support they need for the long term.
Yes! At times we do open up disaster relief trips that you can travel on with us. Please check our Trips page for upcoming travel opportunities.
We focus on providing holistic care for disaster relief victims. We provide immediate relief at lifesaving speed. We return to support ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts. We equip staff teams to provide trauma care for victims. In every place, we partner with local staff teams who can build lasting relationships and provide long-term support.
