Every 13 cents provides a meal for a hungry family — and shares hope

People around the world face a staggering amount of suffering. One humanitarian expert recently stated, “We’ll see the scars of this crisis for generations. In 2120, we’ll still be talking about this crisis.”

Right now over two billion people worldwide do not have enough to eat. And because of COVID-19 and other factors, as many as 270 million people could soon face acute food insecurity. Experts predict the number of people living in extreme poverty will rise for the first time in over 20 years.

While the crises we face may impact generations, you can make a difference for generations too!

When you give a meal for just 13 cents, you also provide opportunities for people to hear about the eternal hope of Jesus. That means $20 provides 154 meals to suffering people. You meet their physical needs today — and you impact them spiritually for years to come.

Will you consider a generous gift to rush meals to families and others struggling to survive?

Your gift today will provide meals to suffering people — hungry children and families who do not know where their next meal is coming from. With your help over the next three months we will send 414,720 meals to hungry people in six countries.

“Humanity is facing the greatest crisis any of us have seen in our lifetimes,” David Beasley, Executive Director of the World Food Program, recently said.

Unlike ever before we have the unique opportunity to relieve suffering, restore dignity, and reveal hope in the toughest places — impacting entire families and communities for generations to come.

Now is the time to act. Will you help today?

Rush Meals to Families Struggling to Survive

Hungry Families Receive Meals and Find Something Even More Satisfying

Recently our local Unto partners met Anesu* and her 10-year-old daughter. As victims of Cyclone Adai, they lost everything in the storm and have been forced to seek temporary shelter at a nearby school.

Our in-country team members work with partners in the area to meet people’s basic needs as they continue to rebuild their lives. They provided Anesu and many others with meals and critical aid. They also told her:

“When the food is finished tomorrow, you will need some more. But the hope of Jesus will never leave you wanting more.”

Anesu was so encouraged by the message of hope in Jesus that she invited our team members to share the eternal hope of Jesus with her friends and family. Our staff members were able to provide meals and share hope with many more people staying at the school.

When you help provide a meal for someone today, you also share hope for tomorrow and all eternity. It starts with a 13-cent meal, and it results in entire families, villages, and people groups being changed by the hope of Jesus that will never leave them wanting more.
